We have changed our June meeting to the 22nd instead of the 29th. We will still be meeting at the Big City Diner at 10:30 for brunch. Hope you are all enjoying the book!

Also, our group has discussed books that that have been made into movies on numerous occasions. Some good,...... some bad. I’ve made a list of new movies either made for T.V. or the big screen that will be coming out soon, or at least in the next year. I am not including movies that have already been made.

-The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult airs on the Lifetime channel June 28th.

-My Sisters Keeper by Jodi Picoult is set to come out sometime in 2009. It stars Cameron Diaz, Abigail Breslin, Alec Baldwin and Joan Cusack.

-The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell, tentatively set to come out 2010.

-Marley & Me by John Grogan, starting Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson. Set to come out Dec. 25th, 2008.

-The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, staring Rachel McAdams. Set to release Dec. 25th, 2008.

-The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, set to release sometime in 2011.

-Life of Pi by Yann Martel, coming out sometime in 2009.

-The Book Theif by Markus Zusak, set to release sometime in 2008.

-The Secret Live of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd, starting Dakota Fanning and Queen Latifah. Releasing October 17th, 2008.

-Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak, staring Forest Whitaker. Set to release sometime 2009.

-When the Wind Blows by James Patterson. Set to release sometime 2008.

-Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella, staring Isla Fisher. Coming out sometime in 2009.

-The Birds a short story by Daphne Du Maurier, staring Naomi Watts. Releasing July 3rd, 2009.

-The Historian by Elizabeth Kostava. Releasing 2009.

-A Thousand Splendid Suns by Kahled Hosseini. Set to release in 2009.

-Pope Joan by Donna Woolfolk Cross. Opening in 2009.

-The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, staring Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz and Susan Sarandon. Releasing October 9th, 2009.
