Our meeting went great! We met at Big City Diner where we ate brunch, met new members and discussed the book. Opinions about the book were mixed. Some felt it was hard to get into and couldn’t finish it. But a couple of us really loved it. One of the members had read L.A.M.B. by Moore and said she liked it much better. After some great mimosas we picked our second book “My Cousin Rachel” by Daphne du Maurier. The book is a mystery written in 1951. You might have read the more popular novel “Rebecca” or the short story “The Birds” both of which were also written by Daphne du Maurier and later made into films by Alfred Hitchcock.
We decided that the end of November wouldn’t be a great time to meet and we didn’t want to meet at the end December since everyone would be busy. To compromise our next meeting will be December 2nd at 10am. We loved Big City Diner so much we will continue to meet there. So our next meeting will be Sunday the 2nd of December at 10am in the Big City Diner. Happy Reading!
